How do I join?

If you have served at least one day of active military duty since December 7, 1941 and were honorably discharged or you are still serving active military duty honorably, you are eligible for membership with The American Legion.

How do I print my Legion membership card?

You can print your membership card at mylegion.org or by visiting the Post office during business hours.

What can I do to help?

Talk to any officer at the post. Everyone of our families has opportunities to help out.

Can I transfer my membership to another post?

Yes. The transfer process is simple. Visit the post you're interested in joining and speak with an officer. You'll need to provide your 9-digit member ID and should also be prepared to show a copy of your DD214 (or similar) to verify your eligibility.
